Lamekia Davis
Lamekia Davis is a dynamic leader, wealth strategist, and philanthropist dedicated to empowering youth, women, and underrepresented communities through financial literacy, mentorship, and leadership development. She currently serves as Executive Director of Chicago Operations for The Community Blood Center and as a Board Member for Rich Township High School District 227, where she helps shape strategy, governance, and student-focused initiatives.
With more than 20 years of experience in the financial industry, Lamekia has held senior roles at top institutions including Northern Trust and now leads Lamekia Davis Global, where she advises individuals and organizations on financial empowerment and wealth-building. She is also the Founder and CEO of the Heyy Girl Foundation, a nonprofit committed to supporting at-risk and homeless youth with mentorship, financial literacy, and life skills training.
Her work has earned wide recognition, including being named the 2022 Peggy Montes Unsung Heroine Award recipient for Cook County’s 6th District, honoring her advocacy for women, children, and families navigating hardship. Featured in the Chicago Tribune and Patch Magazine, Lamekia’s journey from overcoming homelessness as a youth to becoming a nationally recognized mentor exemplifies her resilience and commitment to service.
In addition to her nonprofit and executive leadership, Lamekia is an author, certified mentor, and community advocate who serves on multiple boards and commissions. She is passionate about creating pathways to equity for Black and Brown communities, building generational wealth, and inspiring the next generation of leaders.
Lamekia resides in Park Forest, Illinois, with her family and continues to champion causes that uplift youth, advance education, and expand opportunities for underrepresented voices.
