Joshua J. Travis is a strategic nonprofit leader with a track record of strengthening organizations and securing new opportunities. His career has been dedicated to advancing equity and ensuring that mission-driven initiatives are effectively resourced and implemented. Joshua has led efforts to develop national teams and expand evidence-based programming, including the Becoming a Man (BAM) and Working on Womanhood (WOW) programs at Youth Guidance. He has improved the infrastructure for local nonprofits, positioning them as key hubs for education, advocacy, and resource-sharing. His leadership in community engagement, data-driven impact strategies, and clinical trial accessibility includes his work with the Global Alzheimer’s Platform Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Association, where he helps bridge gaps in clinical research participation and improve access to treatment and care for underrepresented communities. With experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, policy strategy, and program expansion, Joshua specializes in developing initiatives that balance long-term success with measurable community impact. His ability to turn strategic vision into actionable programs has helped organizations navigate complex challenges while staying mission-focused. Joshua holds a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology with minors in Biological Sciences and Criminal Justice from Illinois State University, a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from DePaul University, and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Leadership at Governors State University.
