Dr. Benée Brown, PharmD

Dr. Benée Brown is an accomplished healthcare and pharmaceutical medical affairs leader with more than two decades of experience spanning clinical pharmacy practice, scientific engagement, medical education, and strategic leadership within the biopharmaceutical industry. Her expertise encompasses cardiometabolic health, with a longstanding commitment to improving patient outcomes and addressing disparities in healthcare.
Dr. Brown has held medical affairs leadership positions with several leading global pharmaceutical companies. Throughout her career, she has led and collaborated with multidisciplinary global teams to advance scientific exchange, support clinical research, strengthen healthcare professional education, and develop strategies that connect therapeutic innovation with meaningful patient needs.
Her pharmaceutical leadership is grounded in a diverse clinical pharmacy background spanning hospital and ambulatory patient care, managed care, and pharmacy benefit management. Early in her career, she worked directly with patients managing chronic diseases and contributed to evidence-based formulary evaluations and medication access decisions.
As a member of the Center for Healthcare Innovation Board of Directors, Dr. Brown brings a perspective informed by clinical practice, pharmaceutical innovation, organizational leadership, and a commitment to health equity. She is particularly passionate about reducing barriers to high-quality care, strengthening representation in healthcare research, and ensuring that scientific advances translate into meaningful benefits for underserved communities.
Dr. Brown earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree through a joint program of The University of Texas at Austin and The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio. She also serves on the Dean’s Advisory Council of The University of Texas at Austin College of Pharmacy.
