Dr. Jeff Dage, PhD
Senior Research Professor, Indiana University School of Medicine
Dr. Jeff Dage is a nationally recognized neuroscientist and a leading figure in Alzheimer’s research. A Senior Research Professor of Neurology at the Indiana University School of Medicine, Dr. Dage is best known for his pioneering work in biomarker development and precision medicine for neurodegenerative diseases.
With over two decades of experience in drug discovery and early clinical development, Dr. Dage played a central role in developing a groundbreaking blood test to detect Alzheimer’s disease. This test—now FDA-approved—can identify key Alzheimer’s biomarkers in the bloodstream with over 90% accuracy, offering a more accessible, less invasive alternative to traditional PET scans and spinal taps. His discovery is already transforming clinical trials and diagnosis for Alzheimer’s patients, particularly in underserved and aging populations.
Dr. Dage also serves as Scientific Director of the NCRAD Biomarker Assay Laboratory and leads a research team exploring biomarkers related to tau pathology, neuroinflammation, and diseases such as Parkinson’s, Lewy body dementia, and other tauopathies. His work bridges academic science and public health impact, driving forward the tools that will shape the future of brain health equity.
