Dr. Andres Quintero is the Illinois Field Medical Director for Pfizer’s Biopharmaceutical group, within the Internal Medicine division of North America Medical Affairs (cardiovascular and metabolic medicine). He functions as division’s Chief Medical Officer for Illinois, providing medical support across the lifecycle of Pfizer’s portfolio and developing relationships with key opinion leaders. He was previously at Navigant as an Associate Director, where he helped provider systems reduce unwarranted variation in clinical care by combining rigorous analyses of data with high quality peer-reviewed medical literature, and by identifying and addressing barriers to adoption for data-informed strategies. He was previously in the Department of Preventive Medicine at Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health where he advised the Food and Drug Administration’s Center for Biologics Evaluation and Research (office of biostatistics and epidemiology), the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (Center for Medicare and Medicaid Innovation), GlaxoSmithKline, and Johns Hopkins HealthCare. He holds an MD from Penn State College of Medicine, and MPH and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University, and a BA in Molecular Biology from Brown University.
