Healthy Aurora Official Unveiling

Thursday, November 8, 2018  |  4:00 PM – 6:00 PM CST
Bureau Gravity | 56 S. Lasalle St. | Aurora, IL 60502

About the unveiling

Healthy Aurora is a collaborative, community-wide patient education and outreach platform designed to increase health literacy, education, and awareness for all Aurorians. Healthy Aurora is supported by local Aurora provider institutions, community groups, government officials, local businesses, and civic organizations.

Healthcare should be simple and easy to understand - in a way that talks with us and not to us.

We should be able to easily understand, access, and seek available care for ourselves and our loved ones.

Healthy Aurora’s goals are to

  • Help patients contacts and additional resources in an easy to understand format

  • Provide easy to understand information about healthcare options

  • Raise awareness of the importance of scheduling annual wellness and preventative exams

  • Assist patients in building relationships with their doctors

  • Demystify healthcare and raise health literacy for all Aurorans

  • Help Aurorans understand and seek available insurance and coverage

Join us after work on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 4 to 6 PM for complimentary cocktails and hors d’oeuvres at the Healthy Aurora Official Unveiling event at Bureau Gravity’s newly-renovated office located in downtown Aurora.

The event will feature distinguished remarks from nationally renowned health care experts, municipal officials, and community leaders, as well as a walkthrough of the HealthyAurora.org website. The event will also recognize a local area healthcare champion via an Award Ceremony.

We hope to see you on November 8th, and we look forward to Aurora’s Healthily Ever After….

Chris Rud

COO of Bureau Gravity

As Bureau Gravity’s COO, Chris loves turning vision into reality. He likes to build things, too. For the last five years, Chris has been a team leader who uses listening as a powerful tool that allows him to excel at managing both people and systems. Listening gives him the insight and the ability to integrate vision that turns strategy into reality. The result? Creative collaboration that produces substantive results.

When he looks at prospective clients, he asks himself, can we do this together? He wants to see the possibilities for them, understand how the BG team can help - and then make it happen. He knows the questions to ask to get us there, too. Sometimes he's the one with the answers, but even better is when the answers come from those who he’s working with. He connects the dots. And with the perceptive eye of the videographer that he is by trade, Chris discovers the hearts of peoples’ stories and builds solid relationships while he’s doing it.
