The Health Equity and the Uninsured Workshop: Building a Healthy Aurora Community is an educational workshop designed to help the Aurora healthcare community optimize engagement with patients and residents. The workshop will bring together leading healthcare experts, community, and patient groups in a collaborative setting to exchange new information, ideas, and best practices on how to build healthier communities. The workshop will focus on how to (1) engage and encourage patients and residents on how to be active participants in their care and wellbeing, (2) develop coordinated messaging for patients, and (3) explore new and novel ways to reach residents and patients. The workshop will welcome healthcare professional, patients, community-based organizations, and non-traditional health care organizations (e.g. schools, utilities).
